What is Alveolar Bone?

The part of the jawbone that contains the sockets (alveoli) where teeth are anchored.
Alveolar bone is the specialized bone that surrounds and supports teeth in the jaw. It contains the tooth sockets (alveoli) and is connected to teeth through the periodontal ligament. This bone is susceptible to resorption when teeth are lost and requires sufficient volume for dental implant placement.
